The Power of a Blog: Obama Releases Records

A blogger with the University of Illinois campus paper released a semi-controversial article about how some records were “sealed” that pertained to presidential shoo-in Barack Obama working with radical activist William Ayers. Just a few days later, the records were released to the public.

Actually, the blogger technically doesn’t claim any credit. But it’s a great coincidence in the world of blogging and could be a positive affirmation of the power of the written e-word. After all, bloggers are considered one of the leading sources of news around the world. Not to toot the horn of the blogging world, but, hey, hard to deny where credit is due.

Back to Obama – apparently, he’s been quite the organizer on several different fronts, including those with Bill Ayers. Bill is a pretty well known activist who later became a professor at the University of Illinois. Meyers was a significant leader in the Students for a Democratic Society and was reported to be involved with several protests and even a plan to bomb a statue commemorating fallen police officers.

Obama maintains that Bill is a well-respected staff member of higher education and refuses to curtail to the McCain camp (and the Hillary camp, when it was still active) accusations. Personally, I would much rather vote for a candidate who is honest about his past, however radical it may be, than one who changes his views depending on what the party orders him to do. Not naming any names or anything….
