Scholarships for New Walden University Students


Two-thirds of Walden students receive some form of financial aid.

New Teacher Scholarships at Walden University

If you're an active teacher, you may be eligible for one of the 100 new full-tuition teacher scholarships at Walden University. The newly announced Riley Scholars program is expected to fund scholarships for teachers pursuing an M.S. in Education degree. The scholarships are designed to make higher education more easily available to qualified candidates from across the nation.

"Our global network of universities will grant more than 1,000 scholarships to teachers around the world because we know that teachers have a tremendous impact on the lives of students and families and the positive development of society," said Douglas L. Becker, CEO of Laureate Education, the network of universities that includes Walden. "I am incredibly proud that Walden University is participating in this major commitment to education through their participation in the Riley Scholars program."

Walden University Undergraduate Grants

Look into beginning your education at Walden University with the help of an undergraduate grant.

Funds are available through Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) in amounts from $100 to $600, depending on availability and your financial need. FSEOG grants do not have to be repaid.

For any scholarship or grant, your eligibility will depend on your student status, the degree you are seeking, specific application requirements, and other factors.

Prospective Alabama students: Contact the Teacher Education and Certification Division of the Alabama State Department of Education at 1-334-242-9935 or www.alsde.edu to verify that these programs qualify for teacher certification, endorsement, and/or salary benefits.

Prospective Washington state students are advised to contact the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction at 1-360-725-6320 or prof.educ@k12.wa.us to determine whether Walden's programs in the field of education are approved for teacher certification or endorsements in Washington state. Additionally, teachers are advised to contact their individual school district as to whether this program may qualify for salary advancement.

Walden University cannot guarantee that completion of coursework or any degree-level program (bachelor's, master's, education specialist, or doctorate) will lead to educator licensure, certification, or endorsement. Walden does offer some Minnesota state-approved programs.
