University of the Rockies Online
The University of the Rockies is committed to offering multiple psychology degrees both on campus and online. The wide variety of degree programs, the dedication to academic excellence, and the accelerated, non-traditional curriculum--demonstrated in both their campus-based and online college--all make the University of the Rockies a great place to continue your education and advance your career.
Degree Programs on Campus
Students can pursue their degrees on campus at the University of the Rockies. Classes are offered during the day, at night, and on the weekends. Instead of a traditional two-semester schedule, classes run for nine weeks. Each class is offered one day a week for the nine weeks, one evening per week for nine weeks, or on three alternating weekends during the nine weeks. As a student, you may not take more than two classes each nine-week term.
Many specialized master's degree programs under the umbrella of psychology are offered on campus. Psychology degrees include specializations in criminology and justice studies; evaluation, research, and measurement; executive coaching; general psychology; health and wellness psychology; marriage and family therapy; mediation and conflict resolution; mental health administration; non-profit management; organizational consulting; organizational leadership; professional counseling; and sports and performance psychology. Marriage and family therapy studies can only be taken during the master's degree program. Students must maintain a 3.0 G.P.A.
For the doctorate-level psychology degrees, a very similar array of subjects can be studied on campus. Attaining a doctoral degree usually takes at least five years, and includes 1500 hours of supervised clinical psychotherapy as well as a dissertation.
Online Degree Programs
In the University of the Rockies online college, you'll find that courses are accelerated into six week blocks, with one course taken at a time. Much like with their other degree programs, you must maintain a G.P.A. of 3.0. University of the Rockies offers online master's and doctoral degree programs almost identical to what you can find on campus.
The general requirements for a doctoral degree are the same online as on campus. Unlike the master's degree programs, there is a requirement to spend some time on campus. Three courses must be taken on weekends. These are usually somewhere in the middle of the courses needed for the degree. Supervised clinical psychotherapy and a dissertation are still mandatory.

If you want to work as a psychologist, the University of the Rockies has a wide variety of degree programs that will take you down many different career paths.
