UEI College has campuses in several locations in California, and it also maintains national affiliates in Georgia and Florida. The college offers one associate's degree, as well as diplomas in eight diverse programs. Programs include concentrations in business, massage, health care, and computer systems training.

Since its inception over 25 years ago, UEI College's exceptional faculty has been made up of professionals who stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in their industries. Along with the technical training in each program, the college is dedicated to teaching students valuable employability skills. These include communications and dependability.

UEI College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) and also maintains a CompTIA A+ Certification Program. Additionally, the college is approved to educate veterans.

UEI College's Diploma and Degree Programs

UEI College's programs are designed to prepare you for a career in growing occupations with several job offerings. For example, a focus on criminal justice prepares you for a job as a private investigator, 911 operator, security guard, court bailiff, and more. One of the newest program concentrations is in vocational nursing.

While an associate's degree program requires a high school diploma or equivalency, some of the diploma programs at UEI College do not have this requirement. While most schools of higher learning insist on high school completion before admittance into any program, UEI College provides a unique opportunity for those who have not finished high school but need training to enter the work force as quickly as possible.

Offered in three of the college's campus locations, the associate's degree program can be completed in as little as 16 months. Diploma programs can be completed in just eight or nine months, depending on the chosen course of study. If you have taken enough prior college courses, you may be eligible to receive credit for as much as 50 percent of your completed coursework.

UEI College Services

UEI College prides itself on its record of job placement for students after graduation. The Career Services Department works directly with employers and actually designs its curriculums to make sure that you are fully prepared to meet the needs of employers in your field.

The staff works with you to create your resume and a professional portfolio, if appropriate. Practice interview sessions are conducted, as well. The staff of the Career Services Department strives to not only help you get a job but to keep the job after you are hired. This involves training in the skills and behaviors that are expected of a professional in your field.

The Financial Planning Department at UEI College helps you determine whether you are eligible for financial aid. Available grants include Federal Pell Grants and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG). Loans include Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Plus Loans, and Private Alternative Loan Programs, which are offered by SLM Financial Corporation. Federal Work-Study and scholarships also may be available, depending upon eligibility.

If you are unsure about which career to pursue, UEI College can assign you an admissions professional to explain your options and help you to make a decision. When you have a good understanding of the requirements of each training program, as well as the career opportunities and what kind of work you would be doing after completion, you can then determine which program at UEI College is right for you.
