Organizations need to understand how their systems are vulnerable and how to protect their infrastructure and Internet sites from hackers, viruses, and other acts of cyber-terrorism. Student must be eligible for security clearances at the highest level.
The Information Technology/Networking & Security Management major provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for graduates to acquire entry-level training-related employment as a network security specialist in a variety of settings including:

Computer Electronics Technology AAS Degree Program
Computer Electronics Engineering Technology
The explosion of computer use has created a high demand for specialists to provide advice to users, as well as day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of computer systems and networks.
This major offers instruction in the practical aspects of computer and network maintenance and repair with emphasis on logical troubleshooting techniques. Students are prepared for entry-level positions such as electronics technician, desktop support specialist, systems coordinator, and field technician.

Accounting Administration
As organizations continue to computerize their financial records, many Bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks are using specialized accounting software on personal computers. The widespread use of computers has enabled Bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks to take on additional responsibilities, such as payroll, procurement, and billing.
Many of these functions require these clerks to write letters, make phone calls to customers or clients, and interact with colleagues. Therefore, good communication skills are becoming increasingly important in the occupation.
This programs provides students with the essential knowledge and skills necessary for career-entry employment in the field of accounting. Students learn to operate in the Windows environment and process information using accounting software applications, spreadsheets, and word processing software applications. Manual and computerized case studies are used to emphasize accounting skills.

Business Systems Administration
Administrative services managers perform a broad range of duties in virtually every sector of the economy. They coordinate and direct support services to organizations as diverse as insurance companies, computer manufacturers, and government offices.
These workers manage the many services that allow organizations to operate efficiently, such as information and data processing, printing and reproduction, records management, telecommunications management, and security.
This program provides students with the computer hardware and software skills necessary for entry-level employment. Students are introduced to a variety of computer operating systems, computer software applications, and office procedures and practices.

Criminal Justice Technology
The Criminal Justice Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the legal and criminal justice law enforcement fields in: government, law enforcement agencies, juvenile justice, public and private agencies, homeland security, and corrections.
The core courses will provide students who graduate from the program with the knowledge and skill of criminal justice theories, policies, and procedures and a background in information technology, intelligence gathering, computer evidence analysis, network security, and forensics.
An externship will provide practical, hands-on field experience in a legal environment. Information technology courses will provide additional skills to support the theoretical aspect of criminology and investigations and will enhance graduate advancement in the career field. The curriculum also provides knowledge of general education that will further complement skills within the major.
