The University of Idaho's Department of Mathematics offers a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics degree through distance learning. This is a non-thesis degree requiring 30 credits of coursework. It is designed primarily for certified teachers who wish to strengthen their subject matter preparation. (Receiving this degree does not give certification in high school teaching.) The University of Illinois offers an online certificate program in mathematics. Math Teacher Link is an Internet-based professional development program for teachers of Mathematics at the high school and lower division college levels. It enables teachers to earn graduate credit at home or at school by completing single-topic short courses (called course modules). The University of Tennessee
The University of Tennessee's Department of Statistics offers a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistical Strategies. The program consists of four accredited graduate courses, each granting three semester credits. Each course comprises the applied portion of the first year of UT's MS Statistics program.
