Psychology Phd Degree Programs

A doctorate in psychology includes both practical and theoretical study. A typical psychology curriculum includes courses in the history of ideas in psychology, human development, and theories of personality, social psychology, cognitive psychology, quantitative research, and courses specific to your area of interest. Specialties include clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, or research psychology.

If you prefer the security of a steady paycheck, however, a doctorate in psychology still bodes well.
