While in Moscow, Wave will gather last minute supplies and then board several more airplanes heading towards Khatanga, Russia. After another day or two Wave will then board a large Russian MI-8 helicopter (see a picture) and fly out to his final destination, the most northern point of land in Russia; Cape Artichevsky, Sredny Zevernaya, Russia. He expects to be placed on the ice around Feb. 25th and will start his expedition immediately.
The Expedition
Wave will land at the starting location with about 340 lbs of food, fuel, clothing, and gear, enough to sustain himself for nearly two months while trekking over 660 miles in -50F weather towards the geographic North Pole.
