Nashville Auto-Diesel College: A History of Excellence

At the turn of the 20th century, the "horseless carriage" made its debut in cities around the world. In 1919, the founders of the Nashville Auto-Diesel College designed a school to meet the needs of the emerging automotive industry. Originally drawing students from the Tennessee area, the college quickly expanded to enroll students from all 50 states as well as 62 foreign countries.

While students were initially trained only to do auto repairs, throughout the years the college added degree programs to cover new technology and innovations. Diesel programs were added in 1935, while collision repair became a part of the curriculum in 1946. Most recently, fueled by the increasing popularity of NASCAR and movies such as The Fast & The Furious, a high performance degree program was created.

The Nashville Auto-Diesel College has partnerships with an impressive number of industry groups and businesses to ensure a quality experience for its students.
