Minnesota School of Business
With programs in health science, information technology, creative design, and legal services, the Minnesota School of Business is about so much more than just business. The current Minnesota School of Business is a result of a partnership between two higher-education institutions: Globe University and the original Minnesota School of Business.
The Minnesota School of Business can trace its roots to 1877 when Professor Alexander R. Archibald first started teaching students shorthand, bookkeeping, penmanship, and English. As the Minnesota School of Business grew and expanded its degree programs, it became recognized for producing high-quality business graduates.
Globe University was founded in 1885 with the goal of training Minnesota's youth directly for employment. While the founder, Frank A. Maron, received a classical education, he realized that youth needed to learn practical skills if they wanted to find high-paying jobs after graduation. With this goal in mind, he formed Globe University to teach business skills as they are actually used in the business community.
Twenty years ago, Globe University and the Minnesota School of Business joined forces to create the current school. Today, students can learn at various regional campuses or take advantage of online degree programs.
