Virginia Commonwealth University offers by distance education a Ph.D. Program in Health Related Sciences with a concentration in Occupational Therapy. During the course of study, students spend periods on campus ranging from seven to fourteen days each during the months of June/July and December/January. At these times, they attend lectures and seminars and interact with faculty and fellow students. During off-campus sessions, each five and a half months long, students continue their studies at their home/work site, using a carefully planned array of learning technologies that very by course.
