Hallmark College: A History of Growth

Originally founded as Hallmark-Aero Tech in 1969, Hallmark College enjoys a rich history in the fields of aviation and aeronautics.  In 1995, as a result of growth in campus locations and expansion in academic scope, the school was renamed Hallmark Institute of Aeronautics and Hallmark Institute of Technology. In 2007, the college, again responding to an increase in academic offerings, adopted the name Hallmark College of Aeronautics and Hallmark College of Technology or, simply, Hallmark College.

From the year it was founded as an aero-tech school until today, Hallmark College has looked upon its long-standing relationship with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an important factor in its students' educational experience and professionalization.

The Hallmark College Experience

Students attending Hallmark College can expect academic rigor and challenges. Your growing competence in the course material is measured and evaluated by professional instructors. By designing its degree programs to build more advanced skills on top of previously mastered basic skills, Hallmark College helps you develop in-depth knowledge of complex fields. Students are required to regularly demonstrate specific tasks or skills and cannot advance to more complex tasks until specific and measureable mastery-level competencies have been achieved

The educational experience at Hallmark College is not limited to the traditional classroom setting.  You benefit from a variety of non-traditional educational options like field trips, guest speakers, special activities, and more. All of these activities are scheduled within the boundaries of class time, but without the disruption of regularly scheduled course material or assigned projects.

Hallmark College: Beyond the Classroom Walls

Situated in the picturesque and historic southern part of Texas, Hallmark College students enjoy access to a combination of sporting, outdoor activities, entertainment, and cultural experiences unique to this area. For example, students can attend game night with the Spurs, extra-curricular outings at Seaworld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, or a laid-back evening of sight-seeing and entertainment at the Riverwalk.

As part of the school's focus on serving the whole student, Hallmark College offers academic support and assistance in a variety of ways through the college's Student Services Department.  From locating transportation options to finding housing and part-time employment to identifying convenient childcare locations, Hallmark College students can find almost any type of support through a Student Services Coordinator.

Hallmark College has been helping students achieve their career goals with excellence, effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity for more than 40 years.  With a record of expansion and a robust roster of academic offerings, Hallmark College is poised to surpass its mission "to be the preferred industry provider of professional graduates pursuing professional careers."
