Founded by Father Joseph Cataldo in 1881, Gonzaga University is a private, four-year institution of higher education. Its 131-acre main campus overlooking currently serves 6,923 students enrolled in a multitude of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Gonzaga University On-Campus and Online Degree Programs
At the heart of Gonzaga University's academic programs is its liberal arts tradition. It provides a core curriculum that integrates philosophy, theology, history, mathematics, literature, and the natural and social sciences. Gonzaga University's average student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1.
Gonzaga University also offers four online master's degree programs and one certificate program. These programs allow students to take advantage of Gonzaga University's expert instructors and respected academic tradition in a flexible format. Online instructors are regular faculty members at Gonzaga University and most hold terminal degrees in their field.
Online courses maintain small class sizes of about 20 students and online discussions are conducted in small groups of about ten students. Thus online students are able to benefit from the feedback and interaction that characterizes more traditional classroom environments.
Online courses are eight weeks in length, composed of four two-week modules. During these eight modules, you do readings, listen to online lectures, view films, participate in online discussions, and submit assignments. The courses cover in eight weeks what on-campus courses cover in 15 weeks. Both types of courses cover the same material and are worth the same number of credits. However, the online courses allow you to work at your own pace.
Students enrolled in online degree programs receive round-the-clock technical support, academic support from faculty members, and student support services.

Together these schools offer undergraduate degrees in 43 majors, 26 master's degrees, and two doctoral degrees. It also offers study abroad programs in 15 countries.
The career services department is available to help graduating students find full-time jobs or to assist current students with internships or summer employment. As a complement to career related services that allow you to manage your job search online, the career center has drop in hours, social events, and workshops that focus on specific career skills.
