Florida Career Institute Medical Insurance and Coding Specialist Program

Florida Career Institute's eight-month medical insurance and coding specialist program gives students a comprehensive understanding of medical administration, medical insurance and coding, claims processing, and computerized billing and collection. In addition to classroom instruction, students can gain hands-on, professional experience through Florida Career Institute's medical office externship program.

Florida Career Institute Medical Assistance Program

Florida Career Institute prepares students to meet the growing demand in Florida for certified medical assistants. Through its intensive eight-month program, students develop expertise in claims processing, computerized billing, medical terminology, pharmacology, and record keeping. They also gain hands-on administrative and clinical training through Florida Career Institute's medical office externship program. Students graduate from Florida Career Institute with the skills and confidence they need to excel as certified medical assistants.

Florida Career Institute Emergency Medical Services Program

Florida Career Institute's program in emergency medical services is designed for students committed to embarking on careers as either Emergency Medical Technicians-Basic (EMT-B) or Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedics. Through classroom instruction and hands-on training from knowledgeable and experienced instructors, students gain the skills they need to provide emergency medical care and life support for ambulances, fire departments, and hospitals.

Florida Career Institute Therapeutic Massage Program

Florida Career Institute offers a therapeutic massage program that provides students with the tools they need to become effective massage therapists. Students master techniques of therapeutic massage and learn proper body mechanics. They also develop an in-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology while practicing and mastering the techniques of:

Swedish massage
Sports/athletic massage
Hydrotherapy
Orthopedic massage
Spa/body treatments
Neuromuscular therapy
Eastern-related modalities

Students also receive extensive preparation and practice in taking the NCBTMB exam.
