First Institute Massage Therapy Program
There is a high demand for well trained massage therapists throughout the country, as the public's interest in health and well being continues to grow. The First Institute massage therapy program helps meet this demand by training students to reach their full potential in the art of massage. The programs provide students with a chance to hone their skills and fulfill their desire to help others in the personally and professionally rewarding field of massage therapy.

First Institute offers a medical office specialist program that focuses on the full range of skills students require to reach their career potential in a medical office setting. The program includes:

- Compliance with HIPPA and OSHA regulations
First Institute Medical Assistant Program
The medical assistant program at First Institute gives students the expert training required to successfully assist physicians and other medical personnel in the examination and treatment of patients. The program also focuses on several types of administrative duties. Along with classroom exercises and training, students work in a number of professional settings, including doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, and insurance companies.
The medical office specialist program includes instruction and training in:

- Phlebotomy

Financial Aid
At First Institute, any student who needs advice and support to help pay for their educational costs is welcome to visit the Financial Aid Department. The school feels that everyone should be given the opportunity to pursue his or her career, so Financial Aid Department faculty do all they can to help students formulate financial plans, such as pursuing federal grant and loan programs.
Career Placement
The Placement Assistance Department at First Institute is dedicated to assisting students with their first job search, as well as offering professional development after they graduate. Both Placement Assistance staff and individual faculty members work together with each student personally to help develop strategies for employment. The staff maintains a network of exceptional relationships with some of the most respected employers in Illinois and the surrounding areas.
