How to Stay Motivated

Earning a degree while juggling a career and family is hard. There may be days when you find yourself working from the moment you get out of bed until you fall asleep exhausted. There may be other days when you simply can't get everything done. Even on the days where you've dedicated many hours to your studies, there's no guarantee that your children won't derail your plans. The constant strain of keeping your head above water can be overwhelming at times. Many people ultimately throw in the towel because they just can't handle these levels of stress.

How can you stay motivated when it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Take a step back and look at the big picture. On those days where you don't know if you can get it all done, think about how the stress you have today may take away other stresses down the road. If earning your degree can help you get a better paying job, you will ultimately be able to worry less about the expenses associated with raising a family. The payoff down the road will be worth your time investment today.
