It sounds like you are well on your way to a new career as a physician's assistant. Your desired career choice is a good one for the current times, as the health care profession is rapidly expanding. The Bureau of Labor statistics reports that employment for physician assistants is expected to grow by 39 percent between the years 2008 and 2018. I am guessing that you are interested in hearing advice regarding the next steps to take as you advance your educational career.
Since you've already decided that an online master's degree program is the right choice for you, you'll need to research your options to find the one that meets all your needs. The good news is that while you will find limited options, there are online master's degrees in physician assistant studies offered. Another factor working in your favor is that most programs require a bachelor's degree in a related field as a prerequisite for entry into the program, which you have already accomplished. It is likely that you will not be able to transfer credits from the classes you referred to, but once you choose a specific institution, you will be able to find out more information about the specific coursework. You should be prepared to spend two to three years to complete your online master's degree. Because you are choosing an online program, however, you will be able to "attend" classes from home at the time that is most convenient for you, without disrupting work or other scheduled routines.
