History of Daytona College

Daytona College was originally founded in 1996 as the Daytona Institute of Massage Therapy. Since that time, the school has expanded its curriculum to include cosmetology and aesthetic skin care programs. With its name changed to Daytona College, the school now offers degrees. It moved to its current location in 2007.

About Daytona College

Daytona College offers a variety of flexible class schedules to meet students' needs.  Many courses are offered in the evenings so working students may participate. Courses are all taught by qualified instructors with plenty of experience in the field. The curriculum combines classroom learning with hands-on training to give students a chance to practice their new skills. Some courses provide online training, making it even more convenient for students who need flexibility.

Programs at Daytona College

Daytona College provides several program options. Upon completion, students receive either a diploma or degree.  Programs vary in length from 7 to 18 months. Cosmetology courses are offered either full or part time.  Full-time classes meet during the day, and part-time classes meet in the evenings.

Areas of study and their timeframes for completion include:

  • Therapeutic Massage & Skin Care, 80 weeks on campus, or 65/15 online
  • Medical Therapeutic Massage, 60 weeks on campus, or 35/25 online
  • Cosmetology, 40 weeks full-time days, or 60 weeks part-time evenings
  • Therapeutic Massage, 40 weeks
  • Aesthetics Skin Care, 30 weeks

Enrolling in Daytona College

You can begin the enrollment process by meeting with a representative who will help you choose a career path that works best with your interests and schedule. Prospective students are encouraged to take a tour of the campus and to visit active classes. The new facility is home to enhanced classrooms, as well as a new spa and salon clinic where students get hands-on training and instruction.
