Distinctively Chart House: Tasty Cuisine in a Room With a View
By Marianne SalinaThe Chart House is well known and respected for indulging its patrons in a delicious and unique culinary experience. For forty years the Chart House has been in the business of opening restaurants in historic buildings and making food to die for. The mission is to provide top-notch cuisine in an atmosphere that enchants its customers, proving that the recipe for success goes beyond good cooking.
Finding the Perfect Restaurant Location
When you're hunting for the perfect restaurant, the objective is always to provide fabulous food, but for many diners, location and ambiance is of equal importance. The Chart House has heeded this desire for over forty years, beginning in 1961 when a couple of young guys recognized the need for a casual environment that would be as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate.
The Chart House has restaurants all over the U.S., each providing a unique culinary experience and a good lesson for cooking fanatics--make your dining location as memorable as the cuisine!
Chart House Recipes from the Sea
Many of the Chart House locations are up and down the coast lines, offering the indulgence of food fresh from the sea with a view of rolling waves and sandy beaches. These locations use their coastal proximity to make the best recipe for calamari or, depending on the season, Copper River King Salmon. Many of these restaurants also serve a little vintage flair with their cooking because of their location in historic buildings that have been revamped.
Cooking School
The success of the Chart House is clearly the result of culinary expertise--the kind fostered in cooking school. Cooking school provides students with an opportunity to develop expertise in many recipes, from steaks and seafood to decadent desserts. Also, cooking school can help develop presentation skills as well--giving you an understanding of how a warm culinary ambiance can enhance cuisine. The Chart House began with a vision of eating great food with a view--a good start to any culinary voyage!
