Central Florida College
Central Florida College has been providing students with technical training in top careers since its inception in 1985. Originally called Career Training Institute, the college has gone through changes and expansions since its beginning and continues to offer up-to-date training in several specialized fields within the cosmetology and health care industries. A program is also offered in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
The programs offered at Central Florida College include technical training courses that give students a certificate or diploma upon completion to assist in getting them into the career they choose. The programs provide a combination of traditional learning coupled with hands-on training to give students a well-rounded education that prepares them for a successful career.
Studies at Central Florida College
Programs offered at Central Florida College vary depending on campus location. Courses range in length, with some programs taking just seven months to complete. The following programs are offered at one or more of the Central Florida College campus locations:

The combination of classroom lecture and hands-on training enables students to apply their knowledge as soon as they learn it, under the watchful eye of skilled instructors. In this way, the programs at Central Florida College help students gain confidence and experience as they gain knowledge. For example, in the pharmacy technology program students combine classroom lecture with intensive training in a mock laboratory before moving to work in a retail or hospital pharmacy.

Students meet with admission representatives to help guide them through the enrollment process. They receive information on curriculum and assistance in choosing the program that best fits their needs and career goals. Applicants must hold a high school degree or its equivalent. Students will go through an application review and interview process prior to admission.
Flexible class schedules offer students the ability to get started immediately in the program of their choice. All necessary courses are determined through the program and courses are always relevant to the career choice. Prospective students have the opportunity to tour the school to view actual classroom facilities.

Representatives are assigned to every new student to assist in the enrollment process and to help choose the program that is best for them. The representative will provide a tour of the school and will explain all the details of the programs to the student. Representatives are available to assist students throughout their educational career.
Central Florida College financial aid staff is available to help future and current students with all their financial aid questions and needs. At the present time, more than 80 percent of the students attending Central Florida College receive some form of financial assistance.
Central Florida College also provides ongoing career assistance and placement services to help graduates find jobs in their chosen fields. The career services department offers several programs to assist currently enrolled students and graduates achieve their career goals and secure good jobs. The counselors also work with businesses to identify opportunities for employment for alumni.
