The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy was founded in 1980 to provide high-quality training for students in massage therapy careers. As the only school in the state that is dedicated solely to massage therapy, students are assured of getting the best and most specialized training possible. The school has a main campus and various other campus locations for the convenience of its students.

Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy offers comprehensive career training programs to give you the training you need to start a successful career immediately following graduation.  Each course provides you with essential information including training manuals and hands-on training.  Courses incorporate a foundation in science and business with massage training to give you the clinical and administrative skills you need to work in a wide variety of settings within massage therapy.

The training programs at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy prepare you to take the necessary national certification exams to become licensed. Over 90 percent of the school's graduates passed this exam on their first attempt, while the national average is 68.5 percent.

Resources and Support at Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy

Students at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy have access to many resources. Before enrolling, you are invited to attend a free workshop where you can visit actual classrooms, get information, and receive a complimentary massage.  This helps give you an idea of what your campus experience will be like once you begin your studies. Each campus is complete with a library of resources that include books, magazines, professional journals, and training DVDs.  There is also a staff available to assist students every step of the way including tutors, mentors, and teaching assistants all ready to give personal attention to anyone who needs it. 

Prior to graduation, each student takes part in student clinics where they give massages to the public under supervised conditions. Graduates of the Connecticut Center for Massage therapy are given assistance and resources in finding jobs on an ongoing basis. A campus store caters to the special needs of professional massage therapists.
