In the veterinary technician sector, however, stiff competition is predicted for those desiring zoological work. This is due to expected slow growth in zoo capacity, low turnover among workers, and the fact that the occupation attracts many prospective employees. Elsewhere, as pet owners become more affluent, many can afford advanced care for their animals, which will keep the demand for animal care workers strong.
