The U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the home of George Washington are minutes from Springfield, Virginia, an unincorporated community located 13 miles south of Washington, DC. Springfield's population is 30,417 according to 2000 U.S. Census figures. Nearly 38% of Springfield residents age 25 and over have bachelor's degrees--a figure much higher than the national average.

Springfield has the feel of a small town, with a farmer's market and a Fall Festival featuring live music, food, and games.
