If you've ever spent time in a medical office either as a patient or employee, you know how important strong organization and administration are. The medical assistants play a huge role in a doctor's office, often handling all medical office administration duties from answering phones and greeting customers to filling out insurance forms. Many employers prefer that you have some level of formal education or medical assisting certification. Programs to become a medical assistant are available on many campuses and often take only two years to complete. These programs should offer you training in all of the essentials of working in a medical office including:

- Typing and transcription

Getting a Job
