School Information
Goodwin College was founded in East Hartford, Connecticut in 1999. The institution that evolved into Goodwin College was founded in Hartford, Connecticut in 1962 for the purpose of preparing men and women for successful careers in the computer and business practice fields.

Statistics show that we are a college community that includes racial and ethnic minorities, economically disadvantaged students, and undergraduates of traditional age as well as older students who work and are raising families. One of this College's greatest strengths is its ability to react quickly to changes in the marketplace and the needs of the community. Students are challenged to reach their personal and academic potential through academic advising, a comprehensive orientation program, and academic support offered through the Learning Resource Center, along with a strong Career Services department that assists students in their transition to the workforce. A dedicated faculty, committed to excellence in teaching, allows for the individual attention so necessary to our students.
