Lincoln's residents enjoy a per capita income of $33,912, 3% higher than the national average, with a 7% annual growth rate. Unfortunately, though, Lincoln has a higher cost of living than the U.S. average.
The town does have several large employers, however, including:
- City of Providence
- Rhode Island Hospital
- Brown University
- Bank of America
- Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island
- Citizens Financial Group, Inc.
- Miriam Hospital
- Roger Williams Medical Center
The numerous hospitals located in Lincoln and Providence County mean any graduate with a medical degree, including medical assistants or those in medical administration, should be well-placed to find a job.
In spite of being the nation's smallest state, Rhode Island offers plenty to see and do, including an abundance of historic attractions. Lincoln Woods State Park and Blackstone River Bikeway offer beautiful destinations to anyone who loves spending time outdoors. Lincoln also boasts a national historic landmark: the Eleazer Arnold House, a historic house built in 1693 that depicts the traditional albeit now rare New England "stone-ender" architecture.
