"The Crossroads of Bergen County," also known as Paramus, New Jersey, is just off the Garden State Parkway between Routes 17 and 4. The name of the town comes from the original inhabitants of New Jersey, the Lenni Lenape American Indians, who called it Perampsus, which means "where there is worthwhile or fertile land."
