North Kansas City, Missouri is located on the banks of the Missouri River and is part of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. North Kansas City's population is only 4,917, but more than 20,000 people travel there daily to take advantage of the employment opportunities at the city's 1,000-plus companies.

Job growth in North Kansas City is predicted to be 9% over the next 10 years. Much of the city's economic boom comes from high-tech companies such as Cerner Corporation. Cerner, a world leader in medical software, is in the midst of a $191 million building project which will invest more than $1 billion in North Kansas City.
