As the sixth-largest city in Massachusetts and self-proclaimed "City of Champions," Brockton is an integral part of the social, cultural, and economic success of the state. Located in Plymouth County, Brockton was the first city in the world to have a three-wire underground electrical system, as well as having the first electrically-operated fire station in the United States.
