Originally known as Bremen, Tinley Park, IL received its current name in honor of its first railroad agent, Samuel Tinley, Sr. The population of Tinley Park, IL is 48,401 according to the 2000 US Census. Nearby cities include Orland Hills, Frankfort Square, Orland Park, and Oak Forest.
