For relaxation, the Fort Lauderdale Beach has been completely renovated in recent years and now includes wide walkways, extensive landscaping, and even a "wave wall" with neon lighting. Fort Lauderdale actually has seven miles of beaches and 165 miles of local waterways, so most of the population enjoys water sports all year round.
