Pasadena, California, famous for its population of wild parrots, is located in Los Angeles County and is the cultural center of San Gabriel Valley. Pasadena annually hosts the famous Rose Bowl football game, as well as the Tournament of Roses Parade.

The Rose Bowl Stadium, built in 1922, is the home of the UCLA Bruins and has also hosted five NFL Super Bowl Games, the 1984 Olympic Soccer Matches, the 1994 Men's World Cup, the 1999 Women's World Cup. These events and others keep the stadium and the city of Pasadena thriving.
