Orange County, California is the second most populous county in the state (over three million residents), and the fifth in the United States. Home to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, it's also known for its mild climate and for its surfing culture. The beaches in Orange County are famous, and have appeared in countless movies and television shows. It is also part of Southern California's Tech Coast, and is filled with high-tech universities, colleges and professional positions. The Orange County Business Council spearheads a variety of infrastructure initiatives to bring more employers into the area. A robust workforce development program partners with local educational organizations to provide career training and education to OC residents. The Orange County Workforce Investment Board has recently begun to implement a five-year strategic plan to assist with these development programs.
