Several entertainment and conference venues make their homes in Anaheim, including the following:
- The Disneyland Resort
- Anaheim Convention Center
- Honda Center, a premier entertainment and sports venue
- Anaheim House of Blues
Anaheim's largest employer is the world-famous Disneyland Resort. The Anaheim Convention Center lends the city significant help in providing employment with numerous national conferences held there annually. A large stable of hotels in this resort area provide copious accommodations and jobs. Many national companies have their headquarters in Anaheim, among them Banco Popular, CKE Restaurants, and Hardee's.
Since 2001, Anaheim has enjoyed a growth in employment of over 5%. This amounts to an impressive 75,400 jobs. Almost 70,000 of these have been in the sectors of financial activities, educational and health services, or natural resources, mining, and construction. The biggest winner has been the finance and insurance sector, gaining a whopping 27,200 new jobs. If that isn't enough, in 2001, Disney opened the California Adventure Park, creating yet another massive tourist attraction that provides a variety of jobs in the hospitality industry.
