Do you enjoy the powerful, often mind-altering effects of regular exercise and fitness? If you are an exercise guru and crave the endorphin rush of a good workout and the mental calm that comes with physical wellness, then perhaps you should consider a career in exercise science. While many fitness jobs take place at gyms as a personal trainer or fitness trainer, there are also opportunities in the workplace organizing exercise activities or yoga classes for employees. With an interest in health and wellness across all age groups, exercise science is a field that can serve everyone's needs.
Training Educational requirements range extensively in the fitness field. Campus-based programs in the fitness field are plentiful and varied. You can become certified within a couple of years and become a personal trainer, helping gym-users reach their fitness goals, or you can pursue a degree in kinesiology or sports therapy. With a degree in kinesiology, for example, you will understand learn about anatomy and human movement, allowing you to work with competitive athletes. Employers are more frequently requiring that their exercise personal have a bachelor's degree in exercise science or physical education. With a passion for helping others feel better about their health and fitness levels, you can provide a tremendous service to your community.
