Published: November, 2010Under the Quincy Economic Development Loan Program, the city has authorized $26,836,000 for 85 projects covered by 59 different companies. As a direct result of this bold initiative, over 2,622 jobs have been created since 1984. However, new companies have not moved into the Quincy region over the past decade. Blessing Hospital was founded in 1875 and the Quincy public school system was established in 1847. 23 loans totaling $2,808,528 have been approved for business development under the Central Business District Revolving Loan Fund, so hopefully more corporations will explore what Quincy has to offer in the way of business opportunities.
