Nebraska Colleges and Universities: Career Training & Degree Programs
Published: November, 2010Despite Nebraska's rural base, the urban areas are cosmopolitan and growing. Omaha is the largest city, boasting a number of museums, restaurants, music venues, universities and career training centers. Located on the Iowa border, Omaha is growing quickly: the city's population grew by 6.3% from 2000 to 2005. Lincoln, Nebraska's capital city, also grew by about 6% from 2000 to 2005.
In 2004, Nebraska's gross state product was $68 billion and per capita income is currently about $31,339. Nebraska's agricultural sector is booming: the state is a national leader in pork, beef, corn, and soybean production. Other important sectors in the Nebraska economy include telecommunications, insurance, information technology, and freight transport.

To take it, and your future, as far as you want, you need an education that’s focused on developing your talents and putting you on the path toward the creative career that stirs your imagination. A collaborative education at The Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, is all about the work, the students who create it, and the instructors who guide them.
The first step is to explore these areas of study, and think about where you fit in an industry that runs on ideas.
