I feel like I have experience that would be appealing to a lot of companies out there. What is the best way to get my name into their recruiting pools and start getting noticed by them?

Dear Brock,
Companies typically look both at candidates who have applied, and candidates who are posted on the job boards. I would recommend applying to all of the companies you are interested in through their preferred means of application, whether it is email, through a website, fax, or mail. Additionally, you can post your resume on all of the major job boards: monster, hotjobs, craigslist, career builder, etc., and try to include as much information on your resume as possible so recruiters' key word searches will lead them to you.
