I will be going away on vacation the last week of August. I have several interviews the last week of July and first week of August. During the interview, do I mention that I am going away on vacation the last week of August and give them a starting hire date for September 1?

Dear JD,
Great to hear you have interviews lined up. The companies you are meeting with will probably ask you about your availability to start, so I wouldn't worry about bringing it up during a first round of interviews. If you move on to a second round interview or job offer, be sure to tell your future employer that you will be available to start September 1st.
