Quality Assurance

Pursuing higher education is one of the most important decisions you'll make--for your life and for your career. WorldWideLearn is committed to providing you with the highest quality education and distance learning opportunities and resources. Because of this, we encourage all of our visitors to educate themselves about accreditation.

When researching a college or university, be sure to ask the school representative if the school or program of interest is accredited and what organization provided the accreditation.

Why Should You Care About Accreditation?

Consider these two compelling reasons:

  1. Your Career Path
More and more human resources departments are checking on both current and prospective employees' education credentials. If you have a degree from an unrecognized institution, you run the risk of either not being considered for employment; or being passed over for career advancement.
  2. Your Education Path
In some cases, academic credits from an unaccredited school may not be accepted for transfer to an accredited school. For example, say you've obtained your undergraduate degree from an unaccredited school and a few years down the road you decide you'd like to further your education either for career advancement or a career change. You apply to a graduate level program at an accredited school. Your previous credits may not be accepted.

For whatever personal reason you choose to pursue post-secondary education, don't shortchange yourself. You deserve a quality education, not just for now but for your future.
