Founding

A simple query on a search engine for "online courses" was the starting point for World Wide Learn. That was the latter part of 1998 when there were only a few directories or portals specializing in just online education. Searching for and finding relevant online learning resources proved to be time-consuming and frustrating.

At this time, World Wide Learn began to develop its own directory of online courses and education resources. In short, the company set out to create the type of site they wished had been available when they performed their first simple query for online courses.

Following thousands of work hours, World Wide Learn officially launched its e-learning directory site in May of 1999. Today, World Wide Learn is a compelling directory of hundreds of online courses in 360 subject categories, and has broadened its scope to include campus-based educational programs in over 400 locations across North America.
