World Wide Learn Unveils Customized Curriculum Designed to Help Boost Success of Santa Claus' Impending 'Big Night'
Beloved toy entrepreneur embraces extensive learning curriculum in time for Christmas

CALGARY, ALBERTA - December 8, 2003 - While toy-making reaches full throttle at the North Pole, World Wide Learn, provider of the world's largest directory of e-learning courses and online education resources, today announced that it has designed a focused, private curriculum for the beloved toy magnate, Santa Claus. Over the next few weeks, World Wide Learn will roll out Santa's entire learning curriculum, designed to help the jolly entrepreneur streamline and improve his ever-growing gift empire. Today, World Wide Learn introduces the first track of Santa's curriculum (www.worldwidelearn.com/santa), which will help Santa work out some logistical issues related to toy production and management.

Admitting that he has been a bit lax about training in the past hundred years or so, Santa is excited about the curriculum and expects to complete World Wide Learn's recommended coursework entirely online as he and his staff of elves continue to finalize details leading up to Christmas.

"This time of year is so busy at our workshop, but I just couldn't put off training any longer," said Santa Claus, CEO of Jolly Red Fellow Enterprises, North Pole. "Children around the world count on me to make their dreams and wishes come true. That's why it's so important that I take the time out to polish my skills - it will make such a difference this Christmas season."

Mr. Claus also tipped his hat to his loyal workers, who have been urging him on recent years to brush up on the latest techniques. "I wasn't tickled that the elves kept bugging me about World Wide Learn, but I'm glad that I finally listened," he added. "It's just magic that I can sit at my desk at the North Pole and learn everything I need to know to make Christmas a huge success. As long as Mrs. Claus brings me a cup of cocoa now and then, I plan on staying at my computer gathering nuggets of knowledge."

This week World Wide Learn has assembled the following curriculum for Santa:

Week 1 Curriculum
Business Management Track "Essential Management Skills"
Santa will sharpen his ability to communicate effectively with his elves and reindeer. This will help squelch any squabbles and keep the entire staff focused on toy manufacturing and delivery. It also might improve relations with Mrs. Claus.
Business Administration Track
"Computerized Financial Accounting"
Santa agrees that it's time to give up his life-sized abacus and begin crunching numbers on a whiz-bang computer. Santa's lead elf will take this course with him - even at the North Pole, two heads are better than one.
Business Leadership Track
"Developing Effective Leadership Skills"
Santa needs to know when letting others take a role in leadership is a good idea. Remember the year he let Rudolph take the lead - now that was effective leadership. Santa will leverage skills learned in this course to take future leadership risks.
Manufacturing Management Track
"How to Plan and Manage Warehouse Operations"
At this time of year, the toyshop is an absolute mess. Santa is finally ready to make some changes to get a jump on improving workflow for Christmas 2004. The elves are so excited - they have been begging Santa to take this course for years.
Marketing Track
"Competing with Superstores and Discounters"
Even Santa has to worry about competition. When Sally asks Santa for a special doll, her parents often rush to the nearest discounter. This leaves Santa and the elves so disheartened. This course will help Santa stop Sally's parents from cutting into his business.
Aviation Track
"Reindeer Aviation and Sleigh Mechanics"
Flight technology has changed so much in the past hundred years that it's time to learn new skills. To continue leading the sleigh, Rudolph needs a course in GPS technology, and the FAA insists Santa takes an instrument-rating course.
Languages Track
"Bent u ondeugend of prettig geweest?"
Have you been naughty or nice (in Dutch)? Santa has already learned to talk to the animals, but he needs to brush up on different languages from around the world. This will help him instantly detect who has been naughty or nice - no matter which language they speak.

This isn't World Wide Learn's first encounter with the North Pole region, which can be a difficult place to stay warm let alone receive coursework in real time. Last week, World Wide Learn announced its key sponsorship of WorldWideLearn.com North Pole Solo 2004. This expedition will see Wave Vidmar make his bid to become the first American to reach the geographic North Pole - solo and unsupported. To avoid getting in the way of Santa's activities during the holiday rush, Vidmar will begin his journey February 2004.

"We started with Wave's journey to the North Pole and now we're helping Santa with his 'big night' - we are truly amazed and overjoyed with our good fortune," said Angela Lovett, CEO and founder of World Wide Learn. "While we haven't had the pleasure of meeting Santa in person, we have exchanged some jolly emails, and I can assure you that he is pumped and motivated to learn skills that will help him operate his toy empire more efficiently and effectively. We look forward to providing Santa with his specialized curriculum over the next several weeks, and hope that his efforts will be obvious when children worldwide successfully receive their packages this holiday season."
