Salary Information Widget Now Customizable, Announces WorldWideLearn.com
WorldWideLearn.com has launched improvements to the Salary Estimator widget, which shows the difference additional education could make to an individual's annual salary. The newly improved version of the widget allows users to choose from two different layout types and five different colors to best match the hosting Web page. The Salary Estimator is a free download with code that can be easily copied to other Web pages.
(PRWeb) - November 11, 2008--WorldWideLearn.com has launched a newly improved, customizable version of its Salary Estimator widget. Like the original version, this salary information widget measures the difference additional education could make to someone's paycheck. In response to requests from users, WorldWideLearn.com has made the Salary Estimator more customizable. Users wanting to put the widget on their own site can choose from two different layouts (wide or tall) and from several color options.
Based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the tool offers reliable salary information and is easy to use. Users enter their current and desired education levels to see salary estimates. The salary information widget is also available for use on other Web sites, free of charge at http://www.worldwidelearn.com/salary-widget/salary-information-widget.html
"We're pleased with the response we've received with regards to the salary widget," says WorldWideLearn.com spokesman Doug Jones. "Because it is easy to use and share, we want to give users a tool that best fits their own Web pages, which is why we've added these new options."
Using the Salary Estimator, a college grad would find out that he or she could earn $30,000 more per year with an MBA. Similarly, a high school graduate interested in technology and IT might be surprised to see the almost $43,000 difference in salary a bachelor's degree makes. BLS data, gathered across the United States and constantly updated, suggests average salaries that reflect the value of an education. However, these results are estimates and a college degree does not guarantee a specific salary.
With a customizable widget, Web site owners can add free, interactive, useful content that better fits the theme and feel of their Web sites. Adding the widget to a Web site is as simple as copying and pasting the code. Web site owners can be confident that the Salary Estimator's results are reliable because the widget uses salary and education data from a trusted source.
