About World Wide Learn

Our E-Learning Roots

A simple query on a search engine for "online courses" was the starting point for World Wide Learn. We were amazed to learn that there really wasn't a centralized directory of quality e-learning providers. That was in 1998, when there were almost no directories or portals specializing in just online education. Searching for and finding relevant online learning resources proved to be time-consuming and frustrating. We decided to change that.

World Wide Learn began to develop its own directory of e-learning courses and education resources. We set out to create the type of site that we wished we had been able to find when we performed our first simple query for online courses.

The World Wide Learn directory site was formally launched in May of 1999. Today, World Wide Learn is a compelling directory of hundreds of e-learning courses and degree programs in 376 subject categories (and growing).

We have also been honored with numerous prestigious awards, and have legions of education partners and loyal customers who have helped build World Wide Learn into the world's largest directory of online courses, online learning and online education.

World Wide Learn Founders

Angela Lovett Angela Lovett founded the award-winning World Wide Learn directory in 1998 to combat the frustration associated with locating credible e-learning education resources. A former legal assistant and graphic design/pre-press specialist, she grew World Wide Learn into the world's largest directory for e-learning in just four years.

Keith Woodard Prior to joining World Wide Learn, Keith was business development director for Lionbridge Technologies. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for Castle Learning. Keith earned his BBA in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.
